Switchgear cabinet production
Expertise and safety – from CAD planning to final acceptance
Switchgear assemblies can be called the central nervous system of a plant. Therefore, high demands are put on their reliability and safety.
Siempelkamp supplies switchgear assemblies for a voltage of up to 1000 V and an amperage of up to 2500 A. Next to standard versions, Siempelkamp offers special configurations such as models for use in hazardous locations or stainless steel versions for harsh ambient conditions.
Siempelkamp also distinguishes between standardized and special functional modules. Standardized boxes and cabinets contain a defined range of functions for frequently occurring tasks, such as feed and safety fields, motor combinations and display units. Standardized mechanical and electrical components are employed for this purpose. These standardized cabinets (e.g., performance, control, drive and microprocessor cabinets) are supplemented by other cabinets for customer-specific tasks, particularly in the plant business.
The complete switchgear cabinet combinations are built according to the specifications of our electrical construction department and current standards (DIN, ISO, NEMA). Another advantage of our Siempelkamp production is that the inspection of our switchgear cabinets for the American market is conducted according to UL, cUL, and CSA. To top off the picture of a complete planning process within the area of plant automation, each of our projects is led by a project manager.
