By this means, Siempelkamp was the first one to develop a new dry-manufacturing process for the production of thick wood-fiber insulation boards. The traditional honeycomb board was also rediscovered and advanced by Siempelkamp. After a new industrial technology for the production of frameless lightweight panels was developed, the honeycomb board experienced a new boom.
