ContiRoll® – the original by Siempelkamp 
The ContiRoll® was developed more than 20 years ago as a continuous press for use within the forming and press line. Today the ContiRoll® is the world market leader of continuous presses for the production of wood-based materials. Since we put the ContiRoll® on the market, we have sold 200 continuous presses worldwide. The unique selling feature is the patented flexible press infeed section. No other press on the market offers this kind of design.
The ContiRoll® is suited for the production of particleboards, MDF/HDF, OSB as well as CSL. Its technology stands for:
- Cost effectiveness – speeds of up to 2000 mm/s (6.6 ft/s) with high reliability and available capacity reserves
- Precision – thickness tolerance of 0.1 mm
- Safety – special steel belt protection in the forming line
One concept, three designs
The sophisticated design concept of the Siempelkamp ContiRoll® press has matured since its development and is now able to meet even the most complex requirements. Today there are three designs available, which means each customer gets the ContiRoll® designed to fit their needs (e.g., board format and capacity).
One shared concept
- No matter which ContiRoll® you decide on, you buy the superior concept.
- All three press designs are equipped with the same patented flexible press infeed section which is perfectly suitable for conveying speeds of up to 2 m/s (6.6 ft/s), thus achieving an optimal board density profile.
- The pressure profile is always adjusted over the entire nominal hotplaten length, and crosswise, to working direction.
- All three designs of our OSB presses can be fitted with a surface texturing belt.
- The use of our preheater ContiTherm® may even raise the output of the press by 20 to 30 %, depending on the product.
- An integral concept has been developed to enable adequate press housing, irrespective of the press design.
